Matthew O'Brien

Matthew O’Brien is an attorney at Caldwell Leslie & Proctor, PC in downtown Los Angeles. His practice focuses on litigation, including entertainment and business litigation as well as white-collar defense. Prior to joining Caldwell Leslie, Matt clerked for the Honorable Alfred T. Goodwin of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Matt earned his B.A. in History from Bowdoin College, and his J.D. from the University of Oregon. During law school, Matt served as a public interest fellow at the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics, Executive Editor of the Oregon Law Review, and a judicial extern for the Honorable Chief U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken. Prior to law school, Matt lived at and helped develop the Jaguar Ecological Reserve in Mato Grosso, Brazil, and worked for several years at the Wildlife Conservation Society in the Bronx, New York. Matt also serves on the Board of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.
