California State Director for AARP (American Association of Retired Persons)
As the leader of the state team, you will create a successful strategic business unit that enables the Association to achieve goals/objectives; act as a catalyst tobring together groups to advance the priorities of AARP and its membership; oversee budgets, staffing, and operations; develop a comprehensive and effective stateplan that reflects national initiatives, organizational goals, and local priorities; establish/maintain effective statewide networks with policymakers and members ofthe corporate/academic communities; and oversee communication and media relations.
Requires: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline(advanced degree a plus), a minimum of 8 years of directly related experience, strong communication andorganizational skills, and demonstrated supervisory experience and the ability to work with diverse populations.
