Tanya Sukhija

Tanya is a second year law student at the UCLA School of Law.  She earned her B.A. in Political Science and International Development Studies from UCLA in 2010.

Tanya is the Chair of the International Human Rights Law Association and the Co-Director of the annual symposium held by the Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs. In 2011, Tanya received a South Asian Bar Association Public Interest Foundation grant, which allowed her to serve as a law clerk for South Asian Network where she worked with domestic violence clients.  She also serves as the South Asian Network Volunteer representative as part of the South Asian Law Students Association at UCLA Law School.  She hopes to pursue a career in international criminal and human rights law after completing law school in 2013.
