On August 10, SABA-SC hosted a webinar on “Promoting Allyship Between the South Asian and Black Communities in the Legal Profession. The panelists included Vidhya Ragunathan, Director of Pro Bono at Inner City Law Center, Komal Chokshi, Senior Counsel at the University of California Office of the General Counsel, Jarvis Idowu, Director of Program at Prosecutor Impact, and Brittani Jackson, Associate at Hueston Hennigan. The webinar was moderated by Rekha Chiruvolu, Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Nixon Peabody. The panel discussed how to promote allyship between the South Asian and Black Communities in light of the Black Lives Matter and other racial justice movements.
