SABA-SC commends Governor Jerry Brown for nominating Joshua Groban to the California Supreme Court. During his many years of service as Gov. Brown’s Senior Advisor to Judicial Appointments, Mr. Groban demonstrated an understanding of and affinity for the many different communities that make up California and supported the Governor’s commitment to have the judiciary reflect that diversity. During his tenure, Mr. Groban stewarded the investitures of the first South Asian woman judge in the state, the first Zoroastrian jurist, and most recently, the first Muslim-American appellate justice in the nation.
